I don’t know German, I’m sorry. I need help if anyone can offer some especially because I don’t have alot of information. I’ve been looking for info on one of my 4x great grandmother. No one in the family passed down her info so it has been very difficult finding anything.
I don’t know her mother’s name. Her father’s name was incomplete “Johann Hans”. She had a sister named Fanny and another sister named Brigitta (family said Breckita but that’s wrong). She lived in the Rhineland area before coming to America with her family. Brigitta stayed in Germany. Her parents died at sea.
Sophia was born on March 10th 1800, but her headstone indicates she was born March 20th. I was only told she was born in Baden. On a census report from America Sophia said she was born in Bavaria. With how the territories were back then and not having her complete family’s name - it’s become really difficult to find them in Germany. Does anyone know how I could possibly find something? I feel like there has to be some kind of document that exists that includes the daughter’s names together.
