We are pleased to announce a new collaboration with the City Archive of Blieskastel! As part of this partnership, the church registers preserved in the archive will gradually be made available on Archion.
The first release includes eleven church books, which are now accessible online. The future collection comprises baptism, marriage, and death registers from the parishes of all towns that are today part of the city of city of Blieskastel, as well as from the municipalities of Gersheim and Mandelbachtal.
The upcoming release on Archion will initially include church records from 1657 to 1800 and will cover both Catholic and Protestant parishes. Within the Blieskastel volumes, there are also entries relating to residents of the Jewish faith.
