Search info for Caroline Muller Schack

She was born 18 Sept 1811 and was married to Friedrich Martin Georg Schack in 1835. I am looking for her birth/baptism and her parents birth baptisms. Thank you all in advance, you have been very helpful.

Sue.

Since you're new to Archion, please let me explain two very basic things about Archion.

#1 Archion does not have any provision to automatically search for names. That means all available historic church registers need to be searched manually by the Archion users.

#2 All Archion users have to do the search for records on their own. That requires the ability to at least recognize names (family names as well as given names).

#3 All Archion users -after having found the desired record- who may run into difficulties to decipher the historic script are welcome to ask for Reading Aid.
How to do so is explained in this topic

And allow me to add: it is absolutely required to learn all those details which a record contains in order to be able to find other records pertaining to the person and / or the person's family.

--------------------------------------------

Given that a kind request for help -like yours above- is basically not going to work at all. I am really sorry.

You don't tell people where Caroline Müller was born at the very least her place of birth ---- Permalink to her birth record is missing.

You don't tell people where the marriage "Schack - Müller" took place ---- Permalink to that marriage record is missing.

With the very limited information which you provide above, all "helping hands" being around here need to start right at "Adam and Eve" with any help they may be able to provide.
And that cannot be intended, I am really sorry.

(The good thing is that you started a new thread for this lady in order not to mix things up with your search for her husband. Thank you.)

Kind regards Vera

Quoting already provided information from your previous thread - the "starting point" for any further research for your Caroline Müller....

1835 wedding proclamation "Schack - Müller" in Sonneberg (effective marriage happened in Schalkau!)

--> this record provides Caroline's day of birth --> 18 Sept 1811

1835 marriage "Schack - Müller" in Schalkau

--> the marriage took place in the parish of Schalkau, because Caroline and her parents resided in Rauenstein which belongs to the parish of Schalkau.

Marriage record in Schalkau reads:

Rauenstein
No. 14
Friedrich Martin Georg Schack,

When you translate this text to English you learn:

Friedrich Martin Georg Schack,
a carpenter in Sonneberg, born on May 10 1810, surviving son of the late Johann Georg Schack,
a maker of wooden tubs in Sonneberg, and of the late Elisabetha neé Braun in Sonneberg
with / and
Carolina Müller,
born on September 18 1811, surviving 3rd born daughter of the late honorable Heinrich Müller,
a china painter in Rauenstein, and of the [still living] Anna Kordula neé Müller in Rauenstein
where married silently in Schalkau on November 3 1835, after three marriage proclamations / banns here [in Schalkau] and in Sonneberg.

>> Now, with this information at hand, you look for Schalkau church registers containing Taufen [Baptisms] for the year 1811, and end up here:

>> Then you browse thru the church register pages / images until you reach those for the year 1811 and end up here:

Geborene [Births] 1811

[in case the first word may be difficult to decipher, the numerals providing the year are for granted easy to ready for everyone]

>> From here you browse to the records for the month September, then for the 18th and specifically for Carolina Elisabetha Müller --- and here you go:

--------------------------

Next(!) step --> locate her parents' marriage [Trauungen / Heiraten] in Schalkau's church registers on November 8, 1796

That is seriously required(!) before you have any chance at all to find her parents' birth records.

---------------------------

That's explained in a nutshell how Archion works for all researches being around here, regardless where they're from, or regardless their capability to decipher historic German script. ;)
It goes without saying that you are for granted able to manage that.

Sorry for being so long-winded, but I thought it won't hurt.

Kind regards, Vera

Oh Vera, I am so sorry to make you write a book to explain to me the process!! I am so grateful that you did take the time to explain to me. From now on I will do my preliminary research before asking any questions. What you have written is very clear and very helpful. Thank you for all you do for new Archion researchers.

You're very welcome, Sue.
And please don't hesitate to ask for help, if need be.

People are so very much used to simply enter a family name and eventually an additional given name into search fields and automatically search for possible hits, that it's almost always required to explain to new Archion users that such "system" does not work here.

Thanks, Vera

I followed your instructions and found the marriage of the parents (Mullers) and the birth info for Johanna Friederica Rosalia Muller born in 1808 (so Caroline's older sister). This has been very fun and informative. I am actually recognizing some German words. Thank you, thank you!!
