1. Ist das "Hl." "Herr" darstellen?

2. Ist Johanns zweiter Vorname "Hein." und bedeutet "Heinrich," oder lese ich das falsch?

3. Was ist das Wort vor "Großmutter"?

Leining, State Lieutenant and clothmaker, a daughter was born, and on the 28th was baptised, named Agnesa Margaretha; godmother was the [**unreadable word**] grandmother, Agnesa Margaretha, widow of the deceased (Herr?) Johannes Leining, town council assistant.



1. Does the "Hl." represent "Herr"?

2. Is Johann's second name "Hein." for "Heinrich," or am I reading that wrong?

3. What is the word before "grandmother"?

The "l" in "Hl." is just marking an abbreviation, not the letter "l". Sometimes the next missing letter is indeed a "l", sometimes it isn't.

Ich weiß, dass die letzte Zeile zu dunkel ist, um lesbar zu sein, außer dass das letzte Wort "Sohn" ist --aber in der zweiten Zeile vor "Sen". --ist das auch "Kindes"? Für mich sieht es ähnlich aus... ?

I know the final line is too dark to be readable, except that the final word is "Sohn" --but on the second line, before "Sen." --is that also "Kindes"? It sort of looks the same to me... ?

Oh! Beeindruckend! Ich konnte das Wort "Tuchmachers" auf meinem Bildschirm überhaupt nicht sehen. Keine sehr gute Kopie. Und natürlich "Kirchen Senior"! Ich habe das in der Vergangenheit gesehen, ich hätte es wissen müssen. Danke, VNagel!

Oh! Impressive! I couldn't see that word "Tuchmachers" on my screen at all. Not a very good copy. And "Kirchen Senior," of course! I've seen that before, I should have known. Thank you, VNagel!
