Anno 1735.
Den 30 sten Aprilis Abends gegen 6. Uhr ereignete
sich in hiesiger Gemeinde ein großes Unglück, indem ein
gewesener hiesiger Mitnachbar, mit Nahmen Caspar Graaff,
sich in seinem Stadtel selbsten erhencket; ohne daß man die
eigend[liche] Ursachen dieser seiner Gottlosigkeit und Desperation
erfahren können. Er war zwar vor länger als einem Jahr
mit einem starcken Fluß überfallen worden, daß Er von der
Zeit an nicht recht mehr reden können; darüber Er manchmal

ausgelacht, und folglich ungedultig worden. Etwan
14 Tage zuvor ehe er sich selbsten an einer Schnur
erwürget, ist Er wieder kränck[lich] gewesen, aber doch da-
bey herum gegangen, Kopffschmerzen auch Blödigkeit
der Augen geklagt, daß er nicht wohl mehr im Buche
lesen können, dabey aber auch bedenck[liche] Wörter gebraucht

former local neighbor, named Caspar Graaff,
hanged himself in his own town; without anyone noticing
actual causes of his godlessness and desperation

He was overwhelmed by a strong river, so that he was swept away by the
