Weixelbauer/Weichelbaum

Looking for Weixelbauer/Weichelbaum families from Bavaria. Names Catherine or Michael. The last name was spelled both ways in documents.

Hallo,

I have been looking for my great grandmothers family for years. I believe Catherine and Michael were brother and sister. They came to the US 1872 and 1873. Both going to Beaver Dam, WI then to Marathon County where they lived across the road from each other. The only documentation I have is that both of their marriage certificates (they married when they go to the US) say they are from Bavaria. Not sure what religion they were.

Catherines husband (my great grandfather) Gottfried Strasser was from Baar, Oberbayem, Bavaria. He is buried in a Catholic cemetery and she was buried in a Baptist cemetery. Michael in a Lutheran cemetery.

Michael lost 4 children 1890 to an epedemic. The headstone says Weixelbauer but the death certificate has Weichelbaum.

Hallo,
Denke das der Familienname Weichselbaum ist.

Hier eine Verteilung des Namens heute.

Gibt es keine Ankunft in den USA mit welchen Schiff ?

I assume the name is Weichselbaumer.

Not far from Baar (maybe 12km southeast) is the village Rohrbach. In the catholic church registers, I found a Catharina Weichselbaumer (* 1st March 1845) and a Michael Weichselbaumer (* 8th September 1842), both children of Joseph Weichselbaumer and Gertraud Halmken (marriage 1840).

(3rd record from top)

(4th record from bottom)

I didn't find a marriage or death record for both, but that's no guarantee that they are the ones you are looking for.
