Reading help please - baptismal record Ernst Heinrich Friedrich Stohlmann

Ernst Heinrich Friedrich Stohlmann
I am trying to understand the father's occupation. The witnesses appear to be military officers, so I am suspecting he was in the military.

Thank you!

Karen,

the witnesses aren't military officers, sorry.

The initial word (describing their profession) in front of each witnesses name reads: Colon

This is a derivation from the Latin word: colonus --- which translates to German as "Bauer" and to English as "farmer / farm owner"

Greeting to the wonderful Puget Sound

Stohlmann had only a temporary employment as school teacher in Dehme.
In 1830 he was promoted to a school in the church district Windheim.

Greetings, Vera

From my research notes.

The story continues…. that order was never conducted, instead in 1831 he was sent to Nammen as a temporary school teacher.

You can read both here

….3rd September 1830

….. 18 January 1831

….. and a little later a Friedrich Stohlmann of Kleinenbremen published this book „Erinnerungen aus Mindens Geschichte“ [Memories from Minden‘s History]

Greetings, Vera

Two death records for Stohlmann boys who died a month apart. First is Ernst - having trouble with the cause of death. Second is Heinrich, at 11 months, looks to me like krämpfe?
