Parish records for Morsum/Lunsen, Verden

Hello,

Are there plans to digitize the parish records for Morsum/Lunsen, Verden? I am researching my 4th great grandfather, Johan Seth Wermuth, who was a chamber director in Morsum from 1766-1789. At least one child may have been born to him there circa 1776, but I am mainly interested in validating his 1789 death, which in some records is stated as being in Morsum/Sylt - seems highly unlikely.

Thank you,

Steve Heimerle in San Francisco

Hello,

all of these church books are already digitized.
They are just not already online available at Archion right now.

This page provides an overview what to expect from the church district Verden

I find myself unable to tell as to when these records may be available at Archion.

So if you only need a few records / verifications for the time being, you could consider to contact the genealogical society NLF in Hannover.
They have access to these microfilmed records and are for granted be able to help.

Further details and contact information see here

Kind regards,
Vera

Or see here, where he‘s mentioned with additional information as father of (Ephraim) Christoph Heinrich Wermuth

Morsum on the German island, Sylt, is definitely not correct.

You have opened a few doors, provided new information today, Vera.

Yes, he was the father of Christoph Heinrich by his first wife, Dorothy Louise Voigt.

The Verden archives have been very helpful to me. I asked them to scan some documents that are now in Arcinsys. Here is one with Johan Seth's signature:
