Could you please identify the parents for me in this birth record for Christian Friedrich Matthes. They don't seem to be who I was expecting: namely Heinrich Friedrich Matthes and Johanna Maria Kissel. Many Thanks, Karen.
 
Oh big mistake. Sorry. Not a Matthes at all, that;s father/mother. It's funny because the name and date and place are right for what I am looking for. Sorry.
 
Yes, and especially your final example provides a brilliant opportunity to closely compare how the different family names "Matthes" as opposed to "Messer" look like.
 
Yes indeed . Matthes is relatively easy to distinguish because the 'M' is clear and the double 't' sits on the line whilst the 'h' swoops underneath. I do try to send only the ones that I am reasonable certain are Matthes. Kind Regards, Karen.
