Jakob Friedrich Leib Children 1829 Birth Register Question?

Since in neither these records there is anything obvious, other than
-in both no mother‘s given name is provided,
-in the first one the father‘s family name has obviously been later added

…..you either need to check your huge Leib data collection, or if these children aren’t already part of it, you need to do additional research regarding the further life of these two children (when did they marry, when did they die…)

That should provide required additional information in order „to shed more light on the scene.“
 
This is how I noticed it going back over all the inputted names and information, the other Jakob Friedrich Leib of Harxheim whom I descend did not marry or start having children till 1846.

Is it possible this man has children with two different women and both were recorded??? Seems very unlikely are baptismals not usually recorded soon after the birth?

What's interesting also I have proof of a son named Christian Leib born in 1830 for this Jacob but no Harxheim Baptismal seems to exist....

I will check to see if I can find death or marriage for either and get back to you. Not at home to look at my information.
 
To re-check: marriage of Maria Catharina Leib in 1856 to Heinrich Ott.

The record tells about the bride:

-daughter of the late Jacob Friedrich Leib "THE FIRST"(!!) and the also late Judita (Juliana), nee Lerch;
[the marriage of this couple can most likely be found in the church registers of Nierstein. FamilySearch has Roman Catholic church registers for Nierstein.
Reformed church registers of Nierstein aren't online available at all as of yet.]

-granddaughter on her paternal side of the late Johann Michael Leib and his late wife, Catharina Barbara Dietz

-granddaughter on her maternal side of the late Georg Lerch, deceased in Nierstein (1838), and his late wife, Maria Catharina Geil, also deceased in Nierstein (1813)


In your family tree you seem to have recorded her as daughter of Jacob Friedrich Leib "THE SECOND".

That requires in depth investigation.......

If this is true

Then there are three Jakob Friedrich Leib's not two!!!!

The Jakob Friedrich Leib, I decend from who is referred to in records as Jakob Friedrich Leib II is the son of Philipp Jakob Leib and Maria Rosina Diehl born Oct 16 1816

Then there is a Jakob Friedrich Leib who is the son of Johann Nicolaus Leib and Sophia Catharine Schneider

Now if there is yet another Jakob Friedrich Leib who married Judita Leech that is the son of Johann Michael Leib and his late wife, Catharina Barbara Dietz! Then we have combined the son of Johann Michael and Johann Nicolaus in records!!!

Now we need to find another Jakob Friedrich Leib baptismal, marriage or death

This is so confusing with so many with the same exact name and place

I trust your newly found German cousin may also be willing to investigate these records in more detail.
