Hello :) I hope I can write in English here too :)
In my husbands family I have Herr Johann Tiemann, probably born around 1785, who as a sailor, marries Norwegische Birthe Marie Pedersdatter in Norway 1813. See

I cannot find anything about Johann Tiemanns family, but I have a lot of his whereabouts in Norway after marrying. He establishes a family, gets children and dies 1847 in Stavern, Norway.

Does anyone have any information about this man? He has not given any information about his family or where he comes from, but i spoke to a lady that had heard that he once had mentioned that his family was German.

I hope someone knows something about his family. Thank you. :)

Yes, everything has been checked, but there is nothing to find except from the time he is actually living in Norway.
But still there are no information about his parents or his birthplace in "the books".
Enclosed you will see his registration of marriage.

why do you think that your ancestor was a sailor at his wedding: daglönner = day labourer?

By the way, have you checked the militære ruller and militært rulleblad for Vestfold area? Very likely that he had to be part of forced arms a few years earlier -> indication: his best man at his wedding was a 'constabler'.

And everything of "millitære ruller" and "immigration" has been checked - not a footprint to find. I even got extra help in looking through all the above records from one of the "gurus" in DIS Norway.
