Does anyone recognize these symbols for age of deceased children?

I am running across some symbols that look like iÿ, iiÿ, etc before 'jahr' in these 1630's death records from Wildberg. Other entries have the ages written as expected in terms of years, months, weeks, or days. symbols in death record. Does anyone know how to interpret these?

These are Roman numerals using the style as in minuscule script (old style figures).

i = 1 changes to j = 1 for a „closing“ 1

j = 1
ij = 2
iij = 3
