Christoph Pohrt

With all the help I have had with translating records etc. I have been able to find another generation for my tree with Christoph Pohrt, my "new" gggggrandfather.

Now I am asking for even more help deciphering his death record.

Christoph Pohrt

I have worked out he had two marriages and many children and "my" Adam (born 1780) is from his first marriage to Hana Charlotte Gorth(?). I am unable to
decipher much else so once again I have to ask for help.

I am extremely thankful for all this assistance.

The missing/not yet deciphered word is "Arrestant".
I am afraid it is not a job: the rumors said that Christian died as a prisoner/arrested in Spandau.

Despte of all tragedies in this family:
This is burial record is full of detailed information, a real treasure chest for genealogical researcher, ...

I think I have found Christoph Pohrt's father.
It is another entry full of information that I am unable to decipher so more help, please.
I have the death of Johann Daniel Pohrt

Johann Daniel Pohrt

Also Christoph Pohrt first wife, Hanna Charlotte H??

Thank you in advance for your assistance deciphering these two records

Thank you for that information.
I have actually visited Spandau prison, so now I have a connection!
It certainly is a fantastic record.
I have just posted another two death records that contain more information and I think one is for Christoph's father.

D. 9th (ninth) Jul: Thursday mornings at 8am the invalid from the current Kleist regiment, Johann Daniel Pfort, died at the age of 72 from a short heated fever illness and was d. 11th to bury. As a widow, he left Sabine Hedwig Tapperts and her 4 children

1) Mar. Dorothea married Joach. Lintkens to Blankenburg
2) Mar. Christine married Me. Langen, here
3) Joh. Daniel, Musquetier Kleist regiment.
4) Joh. Friedrich, servant here
and from the 3 first (children) divorced grandchildren.

This old man had gone through the whole 7 year war faithfully served, and when he was dismissed a few years later because his left arm had become completely paralyzed, he always worked in one way or another and never begged.

For several years he has received the monthly invalid Thaler, hence his death, immediately on July 13th: the Accise Office in Prentzlow(?), by a death certificate, announced by the preacher; also at his funeral a voluntary speech on 1 B. Mos. 25, v. 8. "He waned & died in one quiet old age". It is printed in Tellen's(?) magazine for preachers(?) 4. B. 2...St.(?) pag200.

Comment on "Johann Daniel Pfort": Possibly the letter "f" is too many, as in the other entry, so that "Port" could be meant.
