I can't thank you enough for these translations. What you have shown is beyond my wildest dreams. Last year I 'self published' a book about our family history, taking us back to 1762 with the question 'is baking in the genes'. I believed that Michael and Wendel were our ancestors and indicated there was a possibility that Bernard and Martin were also family. I also said that if I could find 'records' to confirm them as our ancestors and possibly discover whether any of them had been Bakers, then I would re-publish. So I am now writing the 2nd edition of my Book. The only final question I have is that from Bernhard's Marriage record it is very clear that his father is Martin Matthess, Master Baker - that doesn't necessarily mean however that he is the same Martin who fathers the 6 children in later years, referenced in an earlier document.
