For several years I have been working on the family tree of a noted German actor who was born in Köln in 1885. I was able to find some records in the Köln civil registration system that was briefly online several years ago, and a German-based genealogist found the rest of the civil records for me through the public record office.
The churchbooks in Archion have also been an excellent source of information for the family‘s roots in Dortmund and Elberfeld, but there isn’t much digitized for Köln Altstadt yet. The family was Evangelical.
Is there any other online source for these churchbooks and any plan to upload them to Archion soon?
