searching for birth and marriage

Hallo ... Entschuldigung, aber ich spreche nicht so gute deutch ;-)

Hope someone can help me in english :)

I am searching for the birth record of 1 maybe 2 persons, a boy and a girl ... and the marriage of their parents.

I am happy to pay to gain access (in order to download the records), but before I do that, I would like to be sure to find what I am looking for.

So, could any of you guys, see if the persons I am looking for, actually are in the churchbooks?

It is 2 births in Iserlohn (most likely in Protestant Oberste Stadtkirche), Frederick Otto Blankensteiner b.16/9-1875 and Elisabeth Anna Bertha Blankensteiner b.15/2-1878 and the marriage in 1875 (+/- 1 year) of their parents, Frederik August Edvard Blankensteiner b.1850 and Elisabeth D. Kreikenbaum b.1849

I hope it is ok to post this question?

mit freundlichen Grüssen aus Dänemark
Michael Blankensteiner

Thank you Nathan95

What is the german word for "Godparents"?

When you only mention this one record, I take it that the birth of the first child and the marriage is not in the records!

Michael,

you apparently have the wrong birth year for "Frederick Otto Blankensteiner" since he was not born in 1875, but instead in 1876!

Details in file "Iserlohn, Oberste Stadtgemeinde" > Taufen 1876-1885 > Bild/Image 24
entry #172 for Friedrich Otto Victor Blankensteiner
father: Friedrich Blankensteiner, Kaufmann
mother: Elise
among his godparents/Taufpaten: Anna Blankensteiner

His parents did not marry at this church in 1874 or 1875.

Regards, Vera

Fantastic, Vera ... not only did I have the wrong year, but also wrong birth place, because I had him born i Kassel, but something told me, that perhaps he was actually born in Iserlohn ... and this is now confirmed, thank you :)

Regarding the parents marriage, Iserlohn and Kassel is ruled out, so my next step, is to look for it in Copenhagen, where Frederik August Edvard Blankensteiner is from, but that is a LOT a books to look in, but one by one will get me there :)

I would gladly pay to find my husband's ancestor's documents in Prussia (probably Hannover) if I knew they existed. So many other searches have no yielded any information. I am looking for information on Heinrich Gieseler (born about 1834) and Dora Rodemann Gieseler (born about 1829). Both of them immigrated to America about 1860. He possibly had 2 brothers that came to America too.

I am very new to Archion. I did not at all mean to post the last 2 posts in this inquiry. I apologize. How do I move it or delete it?
