Archion has been a fabulous tool, that has helped me find church records my family thought were not attainable.
But, now I have seemed to hit a brick wall. And I would appreciate any help available to steer me in the right direction.
The surname is Hugo
I have been able to dig back to Andreas Hugo and Anna Catharina Appemann and their 8 children who were in Reckerode
I also know that Andreas died April 13, 1790 in Reckerode, Anna Jan 21, 1794.
And, that Andreas's father was Heinrich Hugo https://www.archion.de/p/3cba0927f8/
I have looked through all Reckerode churchbooks, also Bad Herseld, Buchenau,Unterhaun, and Kircheim. In someplaces I found Hugos, but nothing to tie to Andreas or Heinrich.
Does anyone have any recommendations of where else to look?
I am not sure this would help, but the family lore was that my Hugos came from Alcace Lorriane region, but I have no way to know if that is true or not.
