Hello,

both were "Inwohner" i.e. inhabitants of Schwenningen. So the occupation of both is not mentioned.
Inhabitants mostly had less rights than Bürger, i.e. citizens of the community.

Thank you, I was not seeing an "I", I saw a "J" because when comparing, it looks just like the "J" in Johannes above.

On the 4th of Juny was married Johannes Maier, legitimate son of Lorentz Maier, inhabitant from here [in Schwenningen] with Agatha, legitimate daughter of Christian Lauffer also inhabitant from here.
