Could Beck mean Baker? I don't really understand the reference to Andreas, does it mean he died on Saint Andreas Day and was buried on the 1st of Advent? Any help much appreciated, Karen.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could look up the word "Beck" in those transcriptions of your Matthes records which you already obtained.

Usually the word has been Bäcker I think. Do you mean you would like to know which of the men were Bakers?
