Is it possible the grandfather registered her birth? Is there any indication on this record that her father was in the military or gone from the home at time of birth. Are there any occupations shown.

Thank you for the answers and most of all for taking the time to let me know how I can link to the actual page if I have a question. I am not very good at navigating the site yet and I could see that people were doing it somehow but missed the obvious on the actual page. So again, thank you for helping me.

It is nothing unusual that a father had a son being named exactly after him.

As you certainly know the family name Meyer / Meier is really popular and widely spread in those villages (the area) of your research above.
It is so very easy to get lost….
