Hi I am still looking for proof of german citizenship from my ancestor, Guillermo Helfer's rosack (also known as
Wilhelm Helfers rozac). He was born in Hannover, Niedersachsen, Germany around 1874, his parents were Luis Helfers (born in hamburg around 1844) and his mom was Ida eva agusta rosack born around 1852 in germany as well. I tried looking for their certificates in Peru, since guillermo's daughter was born here but had no luck.

Dear, I already looked for the documents of guillermo and his children. They all say they are natural from Lima, Peru. However, I could not find the records of luis helfers (his dad) apparently he was from hamburg, but still can not find his records (born in 1844). If I can not find his records in Peru, is there a chance that he was actually born in hamburg? and where should I look?
