"1782 - 1783 Volcanic eruptions in Sicily and Iceland. - Negative climatic changes worldwide. - In Dithmarschen/Wesselburen: At the beginning extreme dryness, fog, cold, severe frost, very large amounts of snow, severe frost. Then on Saturday, April 24, 1784 hurricane on the west coast. Roads were impassable. Later the Pastor Heinrich Wolf reported, that in Wesselburen 41 houses and stables were damaged, some of which were also overthrown and many cattle were killed."
