Ich bin mir nicht sicher welche Region damit gemeint ist. Aber ihnen liegen ja alle Volkszählungen vor.
Es kann ja auch eine andere Person sein, ist nur aus dem Stammbaum.

All people being around here, have a great desire and dedication to be of help, but it is a simple "no-go" that people having to pay for access to Archion records for a limited time, have to spend parts of that time with doing your "homework" in the US with very basic US records / well known historical sources before being able to help at all.
I definitely feel deeply sorry..... but this knot needs to be solved.
At this point of time I find it hard to see, how Archion can help.

I am very convinced the ancestry.com listings for Gottlieb Poetter in Texas are completely incorrect. I have established that the Military card on his listing is incorrect. The date on that card has him at 26 but he would have been 40 at that time. I can confirm the marriage date: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/6...tion=view&cc=1438024&lang=en&groupId=M9CN-7FF

That may well be, but the 1860 Census has him as from "Saxony, Prussia" and the indexed marriage records (based on microfilmed records) provide the date of the marriage license as well as the date of the marriage itself.
And it stands as is, it's up to you to check these records in the U.S. for any more details.

Der Name Stobbe klinkt mennonitisch ???
Gerade in Ostpreußen, kam der Name unter Mennoniten sehr häufig vor. Auch wanderten viele in dieser Zeit nach Amerika aus. Die haben auch eigene Verzeichnisse über Vorfahren aus Ostpreussen.
