Child's Name and Family References

I've found a child of Wilhelm Leonard Friedrich Matthes and Auguste Catharina Louisa Hiller, born 3 Aug 1873 and died 7 April 1874. Is her name Louisa Sophia ? And what doe the Family Register column tell me please? Book 12 - plate 366 and/or XX 3173? Many Thanks, Karen.

Today's book numbers are different.

I read the name as "Louise Catharine Sophie"

No, sorry - why leave out her middle name: Catharina?

Hi Karen,
It is possible that only one child was born in Ludwigsburg, and other children were born somewhere else. Since Wilhelm Leonhard Friedrich Matthes was a citizen of Langenburg (Dekanat Blaufelden), and Auguste Catharine Louise Hiller was from Kirchberg (Dekanat Blaufelden), you might find other birth entries there. However, they could also have moved to a completely different place.

They could have had children after 1875 in Ludwigsburg, who you won't find here, because the church registers in Württemberg are published only until 1875.

The "Personenstandsregister" for Ludwigsburg which are already publicly available (births until approx. 1913) are stored in Stadtarchiv Ludwigsburg. It seems they are not available online. So research must be done on site.
