würden, so sagt er zwar bei Marc. 16, 16. Wer nicht
gläubet, der wird verdammt werden, aber nicht: wer
nicht getauft wird, der wird verdammt werden. Dis
soll den Eltern und uns allen zum Trost gereichen,
weil wir aus Gottes Wort wissen, daß der Glaube in
einem Kinde schon im Mutterleib von dem heiligen
Geist gewirket, und bei der Taufe nur bestätiget und
gestärket wird. Johannes der Täufer gab schon im Mut-
terleibe durch besondere Bewegungen seinen Glauben
zu erkennen. Der heilige Geist erfüllete ihn im Mutter-
leibe mit Freuden über den Meßium. Luc. 1, 41.44.
Das Kind ist nun den Engeln gleich
bei Gott in seiners vaters Reich
im freudenreichen Himmelssaal.
Wir freun uns deßen allzumal.
