Thanks. Very sad, their 3rd child dies young too 1875 - 1877, then the records stop so I don't know if hey went on to have a family or not. Many thanks, Karen.
Maybe you missed the second child Johann August, born June 11, 1871? He survived, married Magdalena Sophie Brenz from Brüchlingen on June 11, 1896 and died March 24, 1925.

They also had a daughter Anna, born April 21 1878. She married the painter Karl Wilhelm Schmid in Wildbad on November 7, 1899. Death not mentioned.

Really annoyingly I can't access that document on ancestry.de and it doesn't seem to be on ancestry.uk. Can I run some names and dates of the children by you and see if I have them right (found in separate records).
