Ich bitte um Übersetzung des Geburtseintrages von Jacobus Jacobi Oster aus Hundheim von November 1817.
Das Geburtsdatum fehlt aber meines Erachtens.

Nach einem Heiratsbucheintrag von 1841 soll es sich sogar um eine außereheliche Geburt handeln,
wobei es sich bei dem Namen Oster um den Familienname des Vaters handelt.

Das erschließt sich aus dem Geburtseintrag nicht - dann würde man eher nur den Namen der Mutter erwarten.

Die (Geburtsdatum fehlt) natus et nono Novembris baptizatus est Jacobus, Jacobi Oster
et (Name der Mutter fehlt) Hundhemensium(*) filius. Testes Fridericus Weichel et Henri-
cus /Lucas(?)/ Hundhemenses(*).

If you follow the way other births are listed, it reads to me that the name is Jacobus Jacobi (Jacobi last name). Oster father name et blank for mother first name but last name ?Hundtemesium, fillies (son). Witnesses Fredericus Weichel, Henricus Lucas Handhemenses. (seems to me this is probably supposed to be same as mother's last name, making this a brother or parent??

I am really sorry, but hardly anything is correct here.
-Jacobi is not the last name
-mother's last name is not "Hundtemesium" and and...

No ned yo be sorry. Much of what I had was similar to user722. I disagree about the last name. The way they write the entries is pretty consistent.
No need to pursue.
