Please help. I am wanting to find the record of the deaths of Friedrich and Maria Margarethe Offner - they both died in 1786. I believe from other records that they lived Kochendorf, near Heilbronn. They are my 6x grandparents. I also believe they had substantial property that was inherited from Peter Erbs, but I don't know the relationship with Peter Erbs.
I am having trouble finding my way around the site. Sorry.

Is there an easy way to find a name in church records when I have no German language? I think there should be a record of Peter Erbs around 1749 - perhaps a death record?
I have clicked on English, but of course the documents are written in German.

I trust you are for granted able to identify names in church records - i.e. the name: Peter Erbs.

In addition to a name you are also able to identify / differentiate whether you are looking at records for Taufen [Baptisms], Heiraten [Marriages] or Tote [Deaths].

So as soon as you've found a record pertaining to your research within Archion's holdings, ask your Reading Aid for that record as described here:
