I am researching two Brandenburg families and am seeking parental connections for each.

Person 1 — WASMUND:
Louise Henriette Wilhelmine Wasmund, born 18 January 1849 in Lychen, Templin, Brandenburg. Her sister Emilie Caroline Wilhelmine Wasmund was born 4 November 1853, also in Lychen. Louise married August Wilhelm Carl Stolpe in Berlin on 13 October 1881, and died 5 January 1920 in Berlin. I am seeking the names of Louise's parents and any Wasmund family records in the Lutheran parish books for Lychen (Kirchspiel Lychen, Uckermark).

Person 2 — SCHÖNBRUNN:
Clara Schönbrunn, born approximately 1887 (birthplace not yet confirmed). Her sister Bertha Else Schönbrunn was born 9 July 1895 in Rossdorf-Falkenberg (Elbe-Elster area, Brandenburg). Clara's mother was Emilie Klimpke (1862–1928, died Cammerau, Preußen). I am seeking the name of Clara's father (a Schönbrunn) and any records for the Schönbrunn family in the Falkenberg/Elster area of Brandenburg.

Any help locating these families in Archion's Brandenburg holdings would be greatly appreciated.

man kann hir nicht in einer Suchmaschine nach Namen suchen. Man muß die jeweiligen Kirchenbücher von Hand durchsuchen.
Dazu geht man in die Rubrik "Ortssuche", gibt dort den Namen des Ortes ein und schaut ob Kirchenbücher vorhanden sind. Dann kann man diese durchblättern. Z. B. Alle Archive in ARCHION / Sachsen-Anhalt / Landeskirchenarchiv der Evangelischen Kirche Mitteldeutschland/Magdeburg / Kirchenkreis Bad Liebenwerda / Falkenberg/Elster Der Bereich gehörte um 1895 noch nicht zu Brandenburg.
 
Update on Louise Wasmund: I found her baptism record on Archion!

Lychen, Kirchenkreis Templin, Taufen 1849–1924, Bild 5
Record confirms:
- Louise Henriette Wilhelmine Wasmund, born 18 January 1849, Lychen
- Father: August Wasmund (occupation listed in record)
- Mother: Wilhelmine Völker

The child's middle name "Wilhelmine" matches the mother's given name — a common German naming practice that gives extra confidence in the reading.

So we now have confirmed parents for Louise: August Wasmund + Wilhelmine Völker, married and resident in Lychen, Uckermark, Brandenburg. Next step would be to search the Lychen registers further back for August Wasmund's origins and the Völker family.

Still seeking parents for Clara Schönbrunn (b. ~1887, Falkenberg/Elster area) — any leads welcome.

The person in our tree we call "Clara Schönbrunn" (b. ~1887) — I need to check whether "Bertha Else Schönbrunn" in the record you found is the same individual or a sibling. Could you share what year and parents appear in that Ancestry record? The link you posted leads to a birth/baptism record I cannot view without an Ancestry.de subscription.

Your key point is well taken: Roßdorf, Kreis Falkenberg (Oberschlesien) is Upper Silesia — completely different from Falkenberg/Elster in the Elbe-Elster area. We had the wrong Falkenberg entirely. I apologize for the error in the original post.

For Upper Silesia (Oberschlesien) records, I understand the relevant archives would be:
- Catholic records: Archiwum Archidiecezjalne in Wrocław or Opole, and Matricula Online
- Civil registration (after 1874): Standesamt records, now in Polish state archives
- Possibly on Archion if the community was Protestant

Do you know the religion of the Schönbrunn family in Roßdorf, Kreis Falkenberg? That would help identify the right archive.

Further update — this thread has been extremely productive!

After looking at the record baukuthi found (Bertha Else Schönbrunn, b. 9 Jul 1895, Rossdorf-Falkenberg, Krs. Falkenberg, Silesia — father Ernst Schönbrunn, mother Emilie Schönbrunn), I can now confirm the complete family picture:

"Clara Schönbrunn" (b. 1887) is in our tree as Klara, born Schönbrunn. She is the daughter of:
- Father: Ernst Hermann Schönbrunn (b. 29 Sept 1868, Cantersdorf, Kreis Brieg, Silesia)
- Mother: Emilie Klimpke (b. 1862, d. 2 Oct 1928, Cammerau, Preußen)

Bertha Else (b. 1895, Rossdorf-Falkenberg) was Klara's younger sister — which confirms the Schönbrunn family had moved to Kreis Falkenberg by 1895, consistent with where baukuthi's record was found.

Klara married Michael Paul Stolpe (1890–1947), and their daughter Irene Stolpe (b. 18 Sept 1919, Zoppot/Danzig) is our client's mother — so this line is now well documented.

Remaining open questions:
1. Where exactly was Klara born in 1887? Possibly still in Kreis Brieg (father's origin) or already Kreis Falkenberg
2. Emilie Klimpke's parents and origins — she died in Cammerau; looking for Klimpke family records there
3. Ernst Hermann Schönbrunn's parents were Carl Schönbrunn (1840–1883) and Johanna Schönbrunn (1840–1878), both dying in the Löwen/Brieg area — we may need to search Brieg/Cantersdorf records for their origins

Die Familie Schönbrunn ist evangelisch. Aber die Standesamtsbücher sind doch online. Ja, Ancstry kostet dann auch noch einmal Geld.

Since one general research request (partly without any connection to Archion) immediately follows the next….

Please let me explain three very basic things about Archion.

#1 Archion does not have any provision to automatically search for names. That means all available historic church registers need to be searched manually by the Archion users.

#2 All Archion users have to do the search for records on their own. That requires the ability to at least recognize names (family names as well as given names).

#3 All Archion users -after having found the desired record- who may run into difficulties to decipher the historic script are welcome to ask for Reading Aid.
