Ich komme nicht weiter. Ich suche die Sterbeurkunde von Joh. Wendel Rodrian, Wagner aus Fürfeld. Mit Hilfe des Forums habe ich die Urkunde seiner Tochter Anna Catharina aus dem Jahr 1712 gefunden (https://www.archion.de/p/b826ac6c96/), in der er als Vater (lebend) aufgeführt ist, sowie die Sterbeurkunde seiner *Witwe* (Nr. 150 auf S. 272/324). https://www.archion.de/p/871cf30146/

Ich habe alle Sterbefälle von 1711 (S. 266/324) bis zum Tod seiner Witwe zweimal durchgesehen. Ich kann seine Sterbeurkunde nicht finden. Ich scheitere wohl daran, die Handschrift zu entziffern.

Es gibt 2-3 Einträge zu anderen Todesfällen von Rodrians in diesem Zeitraum, aber nicht zu ihm: unterschiedlicher Vorname.

(Wendels Vater hieß Philip, daher glaube ich nicht, dass es zwei Wendel Rodrians gibt.)
 
Im Mai 1714, als sein Sohn, Johann Dieterich Rodrian, in Fürfeld heiratet, war dessen Vater, Hanß Wendel Rodrian, bereits verstorben.

I am really sorry, but you introduced all of this „trouble“ yourself.

The earliest child of „Hans Wendel Rodrian, the Cartwright, which you so far identified is Anna Catharina, born in 1712. (see separate thread!)

You next steps seriously needed to be: finding this(!) Hans Wendel Rodrian‘s - Cartwright - marriage, or more of his children being born earlier than 1712.

Instead you caught another gentleman with that identical name, even wondered why he was „out of the blue“ listed as a mayor, but thought, well, he may fit.
…. obviously he does not, right?
 
You are correct, of course. The marriage quest was the first one I tried. Two passes; unable to find it so far. I ended up in this tangent. Will look for other children now. Take a third pass at marriage based on what other children I find. Sorry about that.
 
In order to tell a long story short:
-he did not get married to Anna Maria, nee Ihler, in Fürfeld
-he did not have earlier born children in Fürfeld

However, Anna Catharina‘s 1712 birth may(!) provide a hint, where he may have married >>> in Biebelsheim!
(That place is provided as place of residence of the mother‘s, Anna Maria, parents.)

Biebelsheim -in those days- belonged to the parish of Planig.

Planig -Roman Catholic- church registers are part of the holdings of the bishopric archive in Mainz.
 
OK thank you! I have made contact with them (Mainz), in reference to an earlier query. I'll ask them about this one, too.
In parallel, thanks to user722 I know that "my" Hans Wendel Rodrian died in Fürfeld in 1745 aged 58. Would you agree with me that I should try looking at Fürfeld in 1683/1683 (p.15/324) for his birth? There are two Rodrian records there, one at top of each page. https://www.archion.de/p/032c206cc5/
