Just in case this may be of interest as well.....

This couple married in Borstel in 1748

Dec: [December] 6 Johann Dieterich Beiermann aus Borstel
mit Gesen [Gese] Alheit Bockholtz zu Schamwege
alhir copuliret.

The groom obviously moved to the bride's property/estate and was therefore later known as "Bockholtz" / "Bockholt" [these are simple variations of the identical family name!] - say he "adopted" / "later went by" a so-called "Hofnamen" [estate name]

You can already see this upon baptism of their first born child in 1750

Junii 1 Anna Margarete Bockholtz, Johann Diete-
rich Beiermanns und Gesen [Gese] Alheit Bockholtz zu Scham-
wege Tochter. Getaufft den 4 ejusdem [in this same month]. Die Gevattern
sind Cord Brüggemann, Beke Hollmans [Hollmann], Mette Beiermans [Beiermann]

In the next entry regarding this family, the 1751 death of their daughter Anna Margrete, the father's "original / native" family name has disappeared...

Jan: 20 Anna Margrete Bockholtz, Johann Dietrich
Bockholtz zu Schamweg Tochter begraben den 22
