Reading aid burial 1725

21) den 26 Aprilis ist Andreas Mehm[e/a]l
der Wintzingeröder verstorben, und den 29 ejusd. [= April]
mit einer Leichen Predigt begraben worden. Atat [= Alter]
72 Jahr weniger 6 wochen.

Ob Mehmel oder Mehmal kann ich nicht genau sagen, die Unterstreichung könnte den unteren Teil vom "a" verstecken, oder das "e" einfach ein wenig geschlossener geschrieben sein.

You both are so wonderful.
I can't believe how accurate the age at death was. Though slightly confused why said from Wintzingerode, when born in Schlotheim.

And finding and transcribing the Birth record is really above and beyond. But I would never have been able to find it myself, so thank you so very much.

Thanks.

I will change to it to THE

So I think you are saying that he is of the family Wintzingerode (which got it's name from town Wintzingerode or maybe the town area (cleared area is -rode) was named after the family Winitger or Wintiger).

I am getting this from Ai, so not sure what to believe.
It said " Wintzingerode is also the name of a very old and prominent German noble family (Adelsgeschlecht) that originated in the village of Wintzingerode. The family used the name of their seat as their surname, a common practice among medieval nobility."

Does not look like Wintzingerode is available on Archion yet.

Sorry if this is totally wrong. Sometimes A1 just makes things up!

No, that‘s not at all the case.

And PLEASE completely disregard all of this AI stuff which you quoted. In short: that is total nonsense. Sorry!

Example:
JL Frank, the sunny sunshine

„the sunny sunshine“ is an AKA name / name addition / a nick name …. or anything of that kind.

It does not necessarily mean you are a native of any „sunny sunshine state“ for instance.

Instead detailed research(!!) is required why you were given that extra name.
