Looking for Von Der Misten - Birth/ Death/ Marriage

Hi from Australia,

Looking for information on paternal great-grandparents and some help finding them. Currently unable to locate them through specific genealogy sites. I know their names and possible locations.

Peter Heinrich Von Der Misten/Meisten, Birth August 15, 1856 - Death May 1904/ 1906
Katharina Marie Rebecka Von Der Misten/ Meisten nee Hagenach/ Hagenah ?
Marriage possibly in 1874.
We know my grandmother was born in Offendorf, we also know that Peter had vast land in Nordleda, several siblings and the possibility of living in Cuxhaven.

There doesn't seem to be any cemeteries listed on BillionGraves/ findagrave, with their names, but we know they were there.
Does anyone know where I could access this information? Or any known avenue I should be looking at?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Family name: von der Miesten / von der Misten

Mostly all the parishes to which you refer are part of the church district "Land Hadeln" [not(!!) to be translated since that is a fixed term/name!] in Lower Saxony, Germany.

In order to get an overview over the parishes belonging to that church district please see here for instance:

Unfortunately none of the church registers are already online available on Archion and right now it cannot be told as of when that may chance.

Therefore the only possibility you have to find church records pertaining your ancestors is to contact the non-profit genealogical society

Niedersächsischer Landesverein für Familienkunde (NLF) in Hannover, Lower Saxony, Germany

since they have those microfilmed church registers of interest in their holdings.
None of that material is online available, though.

You may contact them and ask to search for the desired records. Be aware that they will charge for their services - so please ask upfront.

For records from 1876 on forward (records younger than 1876) civil registration offices / city archives / state archives need to be contacted since the civil registration records documenting events like birth, marriage, death are parts of their holdings.

Other than in Australia, or in the U.S. for instance, gravesides in the majority of cases only exist for 30 years after the individual's death. (Unless we're talking about prominent / notable people whose gravesides -due to special historical interest- are kept longer.

Given that, you will find death records and (may be) information where a person has been buried, but you will most likely no longer find their individual graveside.
