location of Neukirchen

I am looking for a place called Neukirchen, mentioned in a 1672 marriage record from Alfeld, Mittelfranken, Bayern. In Meyer's Gazeteer I have found the only Neukirchen listed in Mittelfranken is a village west of Nürnberg, near Ansbach. This village is more than 66 km from Alfeld, and it seems unlikely to me that a person from Alfeld would marry someone from such a great distance in the 17th century. This couple were ordinary people, a weaver and the daughter of a farmer, not people likely to be great travellers. Was there any other Neukirchen closer to Alfeld that I am missing? The groom was a journeyman linen weaver. Is it possible his apprentice journeys could have led him that far from his home in Alfeld? I'm uncertain about this. If anyone has expertise in the social history of this time and place, and could answer my questions, I would appreciate it.

Yes--that Neukirchen seems much more likely, since it is only 15km from Alfeld. I did not find Neukirchen b. Sulzbach-Rosenberg. Thank you! I will check the parish registers.
