Johann Christoph Lyerly 1710-1786, Duchy of Wurtemmberg, Near Lake Constance

Good Evening,
I am having a tough time finding the exact Parish that Johann Christoph Lyerly was baptized. We believe his father was Daniel Solomon Larhle/Lierly/Lyerly born in 1681 with the same description. Johann Christoph Lyerly migrated to Pennsylvania in 1753/54 on the Richard and Mary. According to ChatGPT, the Duchy of Wurtemberg did not touch Lake Constance until 1808. My goal is to take my 82 yr old mother to the village where her family hails from, but I am finding it challenging finding the exact area. Does anyone have some historical guidance, possibly found his babtism, or other lyrey family? Additionally, on the Richard and Mary manifest, Johan Christoph distinctly marked Duchy of Wurtemmberg, near Lake Constance if that helps. Thank you so much for the help.

Welcome to the Archion Forum.

In order to provide further information regarding your research I add a link to the following website

Johann Christoph signed and thus spelled his family name

Leyrle

Spelling variation: Layrle

Quoting the website it tells:

„Johann Christoph Layrle was a member of the Organ Church in Rowan County where Reformed and Lutherans worshipped.“

And it also provides:

„The title of the list reads: “The Foreigners whose names are underwritten imported on the ship Richard & Mary John Moore Master from Rotterdam and last from Cowes? Inhabitants of the Dukedom of Wertenberg did this day.“

Kind regards
Vera
