Friedrich Gause parents

Hello all,

I am looking for the help. I am trying to find out details about parents of my direct ancestor Friedrich Gause.

We found the first mention of our ancestor Friedrich Gause in the Czech perish of the city Tabor:

In the marriage record there is written: Johann Fridrich Gause hierortiger Bürger und Seilermeister, ehelicher Sohn des + Fridcrich Gause

Unteroffiziers bez. Hi. preussischer Battaillon von Klingssporn stehend und der Mutter Anna Regina Gebohren Bidrich (?) aus Preussen.

His son Johann Friedrich Gause who was born in 1785 in Königsberg:

In the marriage record of his son from 1815 it is said that his father Friedrich Gause is already dead and he served as "Unteroffizier" in the battalion von Klingsporn. Von Klinsporn commanded the battalion since 1780, since 1785 the battalion was commanded by von Holstein. We found the record about that in the birth record of their daughter Johanna Friederica Gause from 1788:

Friedrich Gause married Anna Regine Bidrich (her surname sometimes appears as Bidrig or Bittrich or Bidrick or Biddrick or Bidrickin).

He also had several children:

All these records were found in Evangelische Kirche Tragheim in Königsberg or from Evangelische Kirche. Festung Friedrichsburg in Königsberg.

Could you please help? We think that as any of records of his children have any mention of his parents, they must have been dead already or he moved from different place a soldier.

Did you already buy a so-called Archion "passport" (paid subscription) in order to get full access to all of the available church registers on Archion?
In case not so, that would be next step.

Thanks Vera. I do not have the subscription but definitely planning to buy it.

The records you sent are known to me though none of these contain Friedrich Gause parents. Was it normal not to mention parents because they were dead or living in the different place or rather he probably didnt know them?

Parents‘ names are provided in birth/baptism records (= parents of the child) as well as in (most, however not all) marriage records (= parents of groom and bride).

Right the same way as to be found in these „Gause records“.

Sometimes grandparents‘ names also appear as godparents in birth/baptism records.

You need to find Friedrich Gause‘s marriage record with Anna Regina Bittrich!
