Hello! After searching for our Weiss family for years, I have finally found them! I am new to this website and unfortunately, I am having trouble interpreting the page and was hoping that someone could help?

Also, the record (Georg Ernst Weiss) https://www.archion.de/p/5c280133aa/says that they are from Sachsendorf, but the record is labeled as Sachsenbrunn, which seems to be quite a distance. Does anyone know where this actually is?

The place in question is this(!) Sachsenbrunn in Thuringia

With regard to the history (Geschichte) of Sachsenbrunn, Thuringia the Wikipedia article tells:

....Sachsenbrunn entstand am 1. Juli 1950 aus dem Zusammenschluss von Sachsendorf und Schwarzenbrunn....

The former independant places Sachsendorf and Schwarzenbrunn were joint on July 1, 1950 under the new place name Sachsenbrunn.


[And please allow a heads-up: Sachsenbrunn, Thuringia is a completely different place than Sachsenbrunn in Austria!!]
