" f. " between last names in the Spreewald area of Brandenburg

I am searching for ancestors in Zerkwitz & surrounding areas of Brandenburg, in the registers from about late 1700s to early 1800s. I come across many last names - that is - 2 last names between which is a "f", or what looks like an "f." to me. They appear to be the man's last name & then his wife's, or mother's maiden name. Below is my try at a link:

Earlier in the records the "f." seems to be included as a word "faust" or something like that. Below is my effort at a link:

Does anyone have an idea what the abbreviation and word mean?

Aha ... many thanks ... "sonst" means "otherwise" in English. (It's an "s" and then an "n". ) That makes sense. Similar to what we would say "aka" "also know as".

And I read this:
(How to create a direct link to an entry
is described here, for example:

I hope I can make it work. I am 88 years old! And don't read German. I have to figure it all out. However I AM having great success using Archion! ... Finding lots of ancestors.
