Auf dem Suche dem Richter, Prediger, und Politiker Andrew E. Banks

Hallo zusammen,

According to https://de.findagrave.com/memorial/91636563/emma-banks
his wife was Emma Lange (born 1844).

On October 16, 1862 immigrated on board of ship ‘Louis Napoleon’
two sisters Lange, A. (24years) and Lange, Emma (18 years) ‘going to their parents’ in ‘Detroit’

So, if this is the correct person, there should be a marriage record in Michigan (maybe in Detroit)
for Andrew E. Banks and Emma Lange in 1863 or 1864
(since their daughter Flora Auguste Rosemunde was born on July 39, 1865)

This marriage record could contain more information on the parents and possibly on where the spouses were born.

I believe they were married at the Trinitätskirche in Detroit, sometime as you say, around 1863 or 64, maybe even 1865. Banks does not appear in Detroit's address books until 1866. Unfortunately, this particular church has records only available by microfilm at Salt Lake City, Utah, with the LDS Church, which limits my capacity to find useful information.

The LDS even has a Lookup Service which always come into play when you are able to limit(!!) place and time of required records.

So it really should not be a big deal to check those church registers.

It would appear that the relevant persons were not married at the church I thought they would've been - per the FS lookup staff. So unfortunately, this has been ruled out.
