I would really like to have some help! We know my great grandfather's birthdate because of his tombstone in America. We found his son's (my grandfather's) record in the church in Eibach, and we think we found his father in nearby St. Leonhard in Nuernberg. Leonhard's mother was Anne Bierlein.
In order to find more about Anne Bierlein, I searched for Leonhard's siblings. I think I found two of them and here is what I see. Please offer clarification to any of my mistakes:
7th Entry #54 Helene Magdalene Bierlein (1864)http://www.archion.de/p/0bab5e1b9d/
Note: Died 12 November 1867
1st Column: Name Helene Magdalene Bierlein
2nd Column: 2nd illegitimate...? what is the next word?
3rd Column: Father ? Conrad? What is the rest? What is the date of 1867 and the number A. 944?
4th Column: Father's religion? Seems to be another (Like in my great Grandfather's record) mention of Schwabach here, possible military commander?
5th Column I don't know what the heading means but the place is Nuernberg
6th Column: Mother is Anne Bierlein
7th Column: Religion I see Eibach. My grandfather's birth is recorded in the church in Eibach, so I'm very interested in what it means here.
8th Column: St. Leonard 35, (Is this an address?)
9th Column: Born 10 Feb,
10th Column: Baptized 17 Feb.
1th Column: The Priest's name
12th Column: Please help! Helene Magdelene Bierlein--and something about child's mother maybe? Is that a relationship?
Stillborn of possibly the same mother: 3rd entry #106http://www.archion.de/p/050ae96217/
1st Column: Bierlein
2nd Column: 4th illegitimate (what is the last word?)
3rd, 4th, 5th Columns: Blank
6th & 7th Columns: Please help! Anne Bierlein Something about George Bierlein and something about Schwabach. Is George her father? Is her father in Schwabach's same company?
Column 8: ? 2 (different address?)
Column 9: Born 12 March 5 in the evening No baptism (stillborn)
Column 12: What is this?
Leonard Bierlein is my great grandfather, My cousin found this years ago and had it translated, but I have a question about one part:
2nd entry # 468: Leonhard Bierlein Birth (1869) http://www.archion.de/p/221100e40a/
What I would like to know from this record is in the column that lists the father. Here's what I could make out:
Father is Johann Michael Schmidt, then below it says L. G. Schwabach with the date of 31 Aug 1870 E. N. 195/70 What is this date and number reference of 195/70??? Who is L. G. Schwabach? Military commander?
Thank you so much!
