I am searching for a birth record for MARGARETHA BARBARA WINDSHEIMENS who was born ~ 1685 in Rothenburg od der Tauber. Her death record names her father as Balthasar Windsheimens.

I have found the surname "Windsheimens" in other records for this district of Rothenburg ob der Tauber (Schweinsdorf) and I wonder if this is the correct 1687 birth/baptism record for Margaretha Barbara.

the record of this link shows the birth and baptism of Margaretha Barbara, daughter of Leonhard Kleck or Klenk who was born on the 29. November 1687. So this is not the Margaretha Barbara Windsheimer who you are searching for.
If it is possible you can post here the link of the burial record, so we maybe could look for it together.
I have found something about her father Balthasar: http://gedbas.genealogy.net/person/show/1072400714
He is mentioned there as a Weingärtner (winegrower) in Rothenburg, so I would look up in your case the records of Rothenburg and not of Schweinsdorf.

Thank you for replying. I am attaching the link to the 1740 death of Margaretha Barbara Grow nee Windsheimens in Neulussheim; it is the bottom left entry. Her husband is Johann Peter Grow (Groh). I appreciate any insight or direction.

Hallo,
der Familienname ist Windsheimer, Vater war der verstorbene Weingärtner Balthasar Windsheimer aus Rothenburg.
Das Alter wird wird hier mit ungefähr 55 angeben, das muss nicht stimmen kann auch 10 Jahre Differenz sein, in beiden Richtungen.

Gibt es auch ein Hochzeit ?

Sie sollten den Sterbeeintrag des Vaters Baltasar Windsheimer suchen.
Dieser ist dann vor 1717 verstorben.

Leider gibt es kein Register und 2 Kirchen die in Frage kommen würden.

Die Suche wird dadurch etwas aufwendiger werden.

habe mir nochmals angeschaut es steht dort ehl. Tochter.

So wie dies geschrieben ist lebte der Vater 1717 noch starb jedoch vor der Tochter.

Thank you for the information. (I searched for a death record for Balthasar Windsheimer in Neulussheim - thinking he may have moved with his daughter - but no luck).

In searching for a baptism entry for MARGARETHA BARBARA WINDSHEIMER ~ 1685, is my only option to look through all the "Rothenburg ob der Tauber" entries: Diebach, Erzberg, Insingen, Lohr, Wornitz, St. Jakob, Zum Heilingen Geist, Ohrenbach, Habalsee, Bettwar, Neusitz, Schweinsdorf?

I apologize for my ignorance; sometimes when I try to find one of these locations on a map, I cannot always find something definitive.

you don‘t have to look up all parishes of the church district Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Just look up in the two parishes of the city Rothenburg, St. Jakob and Zum Heiligen Geist. Here you should find your Windsheimers because they were citizens of Rothenburg.

wie Florian bereits geschrieben hat ist es wichtig die beiden Stadtkirchen
von Rothenburg ganz durchzusuchen, Taufen Ehen Sterberegister.
Eventuell findet man dann mehr oder nicht.
Die Familie muß nicht aus Rothenburg stammen, die gesuchte kann auch wo ganz anders geboren sein, und der Vater auch wo anders verstorben sein.
Zur Hochzeit 1717 war dieser Weingärtner und Bürger in Rothenburg ob der Tauber.

Sollten Sie in beiden Kirchen nichts finden gibt es auch noch diese Möglichkeiten:

Eventuell ist dieser in den Bürgerbuch zu finden, und dort steht eventuell mehr.
