Matthias Thiell

I have found where my Diehl line is connected to the Thiell line, i do not know if those names we're interchangeable?

I found Matthias Thiell

1710 the 19th of February Matthias Thiell, member of the court and elder in the Reform parish of Biebelnheim, was buried after he reached the age of 55 years.

all of this information matches to my Matthias Diehl from his son Johannes Diehl's marriage

Since the records of Biebelnheim only go back to 1708 on Archion, I am trying to find what else may have more information regarding Matthias Diehl/Thiell? I am trying to go back further, i was hopeful Biebelnheim may have some kind of familie register i could find, but no such luck.

They are interchangeable!
Simple spelling variations of the same, identical name.

Prior to 1708 you should check the church register of Gau-Odernheim (as is also noted at the beginning of the Reformed(!) church registers of Biebelnheim).

Please also note the corresponding description / note here:

(Other than that you may find mentions of your Thiell / Diehl family in Bechtolsheim as well, as was already discussed.)

As an example a 1705 marriage "Diel - Kratz" of a son of Matthias Thiell / Diehl from Biebelnheim in the "Odernheim" registers

A 1699 death in "Odernheim" registers

A 1700 death in "Odernheim" registers

Matthias Diehl's sons i have found in the Biebelnheim records we're born in 1702, 1706, and 1709.... so this seems odd one of his sons would be marrying in 1705, not impossible but this likely means there is quite a few children of him i have not yet found.

You know (from this death record) that Matthias Thiell was born about 1655, which means that he could have married about 1680.
That given a son (children which you've obviously not yet found) of him could very well marry in 1705.

So it's much about doing the correct math, right?

That was why i said it's not impossible, and that they have many more children to find it appears. Matthias wife was born in 1665 according to her death record, so a 1680 marriage though not impossible she would be very young at 15, but even if the eldest son was born about 1685 he would still be able to marry in 1705.
