Thank you so much for finding this for me. That's such a shame, I felt I was onto something here! Descending from a Matthes in Dörzbach, winegrowers and a line that could produce a Frederick or an Alfred in about 1885. The search goes on, although it's getting more and more difficult knowing where to look.
