Hugo Surname

I am researching my family history. Thanks to Archion I have been able to find family as far back as 1739 in Reckerode. I am looking for tips on where to look for previous generations. The oldest family names include Andreas Hugo who had children named Heinrich and Justus; and Heinrich Hugo whose children included Anna Barbara, Dorethea, Anna Katharina, Katherina Elizabeth and Christina.

Birth / Baptism registers for Kirchheim (Hessen) including Reckerode start in 1689.

You closely searched these registers beginning in 1689 and did not find these Hugo families there prior to 1739?

In case no, did you find any hint in the earliest records from where the Hugo family moved to Reckerode?
