I am researching the death and burial of the man known as the Count of Saint-Germain; he died in Eckernförde in February 1784 and was buried at St. Nicolai Church on March 2, 1784.
A secondary source refers to several documents from the municipality of St. Nicolai:
the death and burial register, folio 380, year 1784
a church account book with the entry about the fee for his grave (apparently under grave number I)
a statement of accounts regarding the church bells
Since I cannot currently subscribe to ARCHION, I am first trying to find out which relevant documents are available before deciding whether a subscription would be worthwhile.
Would anyone with access to the records of St. Nicolai in Eckernförde be willing to check if there are any further relevant entries from the period 1783–1784?
I am particularly interested in:
the complete burial record from 1784;
Information on grave no. I;
the corresponding entry in the church accounts regarding the payment of 12 Reichstaler;
Any documents received relating to the grave or the organization of the burial;
Lists of communion participants/communctants for this parish in the period approximately 1779–1784;
other church records in which Saint-Germain or persons associated with him might be mentioned.
It is not necessary to download or provide an entire register. Information about which relevant documents exist and what they contain would be extremely helpful.
