Age at Death of Conrad Matthes, Dörzbach 1675.

I have asked about this one before, the death of Conrad Matthes in Dorzbach on 10 Feb 1675, but can anyone identify the exact age that he was on his death. Clearly in his 40s but if possible I would like the exact age. Thanks, Karen.

And nobody replied?

Please provide a link to that old thread in order to avoid unnecessary double work, thanks a lot.

Hi Vera. Long time no speak. I hope you are well. Somebody did reply - the answer was he was in his forties, that is the 2nd digit is hard to read. I will send the link if I can work out how to do it. :p

Hi Karen, yes, all fine, thanks so much. I hope the same applies to you as well.

To provide the link of an entire thread is easy going > simply: copy and paste > the URL as appears in your browser

The second digit is definitely hard to read and I really doubt that you will get the one and only "definite" number by any serious researcher.

Kind regards, Vera

Old thread on identical topic:

>> as I already said: that's the best possible, most serious and reliable result you will be able to get.

In order to seriously tell what it is, one has to closely compare the digit in question with other digits of this identical(!!) scribe(!!) appearing here.
And if you do so, I trust you will agree that there simply is no other digit looking like this one.

Many thanks Vera. Actually I'm going through chemo again this year, hence plenty of time on my hands to research and plague you guys with questions. I'm finding out so much, thanks to access to these archives and you and the teams's amazing help. So I'm afraid more questions to come. There is an end point - I just need to find the elusive Frederick and/or Alfred Matthes who appear in records in the UK, but I can't yet link to the rest of the family. May be a visit to Dörzbach where it all began then I am done!. Thanks, Karen.
