1719 Baptism - Durkheim

http://www.archion.de/p/847088856d/

Seeking a translation for the entry on 09 MARCH 1719, Schwengsfeld. I see the father is Christian Carl and the mother is Christiana Dorothea Fattet.

I realize this is a longer than usual entry. I would be grateful to anything someone could contribute towards even a partial translation. Johann Friderich Schwengsfeld is my 6th great-grandfather.

Regards,

Ellen

That is much more than I had hoped for - - thank you so much for taking a lot of your time! I appreciate it and look forward to trying to understand it. Many thanks for the links, also!

Kind regards,

Ellen

The adjectives used for the different persons have a meaning:

wohlgeboren: an important person, not necessarily of nobility
hochwohlgeboren: a noble person, mostly low nobility (e.g. barons or counts)
durchlauchtigst: high nobility (e.g. Markgraf, Fürst, Herzog)

forgot a line:

... Lady Catharina born
Margravine of Baden-Durlach, married Countess
of Leiningen, our most gracious
princess and sovereign of our country, who ...

Many thanks, Joachim.

I have "googled" the name but I never came across the link you provided. Luckily, I can copy and paste into Google Translate so I am working on a translation.

Kind regards,

Ellen
